Yes we try to practice a modified Holistic lifestyle.
Yes I’m supposed to be on a diet.
Yes I’m a Unificationist.
But Mama’s gotta have some guilty pleasures, and here are a few of them:
I like watching Warehouse 13 on Syfy. Sometimes I like watching Glee. I LOVE Blue Cheese (Trader Joe’s Stagnola Blue is my current fave), I sometimes fall off the Jewish wagon and eat proscuitto. The best kind of sandwich in the world is a New Jersey ‘Sloppy Joe’! (A triple-decker, rye bread spread with russian dressing, coleslaw, swiss cheese and piled thick with rare roast beef – ooooh baby! Come to mama!!!) I secretly want to be one of ‘those’ people who go to all-you-can-eat sushi buffets and just eat the fish part and leave the rice. I daydream about being an Olympic figure-skater (and miraculously, I’m a size 3 or 4!). Sometimes I end up eating an entire pint of Ben & Jerry’s all by myself, and hiding the carton in the trash so my husband won’t see it!
You’ve probably noticed that a number of those pleasures are high-calorie items, hence the needing to be on a diet 🙂
But there’s one more, that’s probably not so bad for my waistline: I like eating Yoplait Whips. Those are the moussy ones. I like to sit back, relax, and eat one, pretending it’s a decadent mousse from a fancy restaurant. Thankfully they’ve got all kinds of chocolate flavors, as well as the fruity ones 🙂
Let’s face it, with twin 3yr olds taking up most of my time or attention, I don’t have time to be making like Susie Homemaker and whipping up my own mousse in the kitchen! But it takes no time at all to sneak into a secluded corner of my apartment, rip off the lid on one of those Yoplait Whips, and sink into pleasure – until the unhappy shrieks of toddlers wanting to use me for a trampoline rips across my eardrums!
Yoplait’s got a lot of varieties, so go and check them out on Facebook:

While you’re there, you can like them on Facebook, too. March is National Nutrition Month, so let’s make some of our ‘guilty’ pleasures a little more nutritious, we’ll feel better in the long run, and it’ll pay off when we’re still around to see our kids graduate!

All the opinions expressed above are entirely my own, including the pounds on my waistline 🙂 and no money changed hands.
