This week I’m sure that many of you have noticed the freakyness going on with my blog. I’ve been trying to find a new WordPress theme and not having much luck with it.
I’ve been searching the (budget-conscious) premium themes, but many of them seemed too ‘edgy’ or cookie-cutter or modern for my tastes. I wanted something soft, cute (but not sickeningly so), cozy and pink with flowers.
So I started to consider another free theme and found exactly what I wanted.
And then the nightmare began!
It wouldn’t take my GFC box (Google Friend Connect), then all the cute little boxes in the sidebar disappeared and I was forced to use it au naturale.
Then ALL of my stuff in the sidebar disappeared!
Not to mention that I couldn’t get the font dark enough to be read.
So I switched back and forth among enough themes to give Sybil a run for her money!
If you’re reading this, then you’ve noticed that I’m now back to the ol’ brown one with the cherubs up top (that my mother likes), albeit with a few extraneous bits of odd coding thrown in that I have no idea how they got in there!
So I guess the next thing to do is start trolling to find a giveaway for a free blog redesign! Wish me luck!
And for those of you who’ve been so patient throughout this mess, THANK YOU!!! And also thank you to those who’ve entered our giveaways (http://twiceblessedlife.com/giveaways-contests/), although it must have been some shade of annoying to be chasing the GFC box all the way around the page to get an entry via it.
Oh yeah, and a special ‘thank you’ to me! I somehow managed to do all this while having multitudes of toddler requests to deal with, snuggle-breaks (like coffee breaks but with twin toddlers instead of java), rousing bouts of ‘fish the toy critters out of juice glasses’, and ear-splitting shrieks of: ‘Mama, she’s TOUCHING ME!!!’
