This week, I’ll be attending the Summit For Social Good in NYC!!!
Blog Frog, an online Blogger social network has offered to sponsor my attendance to this event, with full Blogger Correspondant credentials! This is so incredibly exciting!
“The Mashable & 92Y Social Good Summit
Mashable and 92Y present a summit of today’s most inspirational and promising leaders discussing effective ways in which new media can help address the world’s challenges. By focusing on the UN’s Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) — being addressed in high-level plenary sessions at UN Week in September 2010 — the Mashable/92Y Social Good Summit celebrates the power and potential of new media to effect change. The Summit is presented in partnership with the United Nations Foundation, a public charity that advocates for the UN and provides a platform for connecting people, ideas and resources to help the UN solve global problems.”
So I’m off to pack up my netbook and catch the train to NYC this morning! I’ll post updates and articles and other fun things over the next few days! I might even be posting live from the Digital Media Lounge they’ve got set up over there for bloggers!
And if you’re there, and you happen to (gently) bump into me, let me know you read this on my blog, and I’ll give you and your site a shout-out in a post!
*This post and other Summit For Social Good-related posts on my blog have been made possible by the incredible generosity of my husband Masashi, who has taken a few days vacation from work to take care of our twin girls, while I attend this event! Big shout-out to Masashi!! Woo-Hoo!!!
