Sickness & Shoulder Injury – hooray!

For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been struggling to recover from an injured shoulder.

While taking care of home and hearth and two active twin 4yr olds.

Oh, and have I mentioned that for the past couple of weeks the twins have been sick?  That means I’ve been on duty 24/7 for two weeks, and what little time I have for resting – I can’t because my shoulder’s been hurting too darn much to sleep well!

And my girls are so generous – they’ve shared their illness with me, so I’ve had to deal with sore throat and fever and generally feeling like cr4p on top of everything else.

Yes, I’m complaining and whining.  I think I’m entitled.

I cringe and shudder to think of all the things I’ve put on the back burner because of this and the family crisis and illness last month, and the one before that, and the flood damage we’ve sustained before that, and….well, you get the picture.

I’ve even briefly thought of stopping with the blog, because the only thing I could really think of to write about was how miserable I’ve been feeling.

So if you are someone I need to do something for, please be patient a little while longer.  As soon as I feel a little less like crawling off somewhere to expire, I’ll get to the project that has your name on it.

Thanks for your understanding.

Please feel free to leave a comment expressing sympathy below.  At this point, I don’t care how needy I sound.

  1. Hope you are feeling better real soon. Your system said I did not type enough words. So here I go… I hope you are feeling better real, real, real soon.

    1. Hi,
Thank you so much for the good wishes.
Yes, I’ve adjusted the comment system that comments have to be at least 5 words. There were a lot of people not even bothering to read the posts, but just wanted a link back to their own sites.

  2. suffered with shoulder injury for about 3 yrs, had my surgery for a tear (rotary cuff surgery) nov 24th, 6 weeks with my arm in a sling, and NOT taking it out except for tiny exercises during the 6 weeks…jan 5th apt and I am now out of the sling, allowed to pick up 2 pounds…won’t be going back to work til after march. I SUGGEST you go see a specialist about your pain. You really don’t know how bad you have been hurt (my injury was from being pulled on the back of a dingy on a boat!!)
